Property Development

 

Our property portfolio has more than 100 properties in its books. Most exciting is our current development project of 600 affordable housing units over 4 hectares of land we own in Linbro-Park, Sandton. Recently we are also in discussions with two universities in the Free State to develop student accommodation for at least 5000 students in the next 5 years. In addition, not only has our investments in the property space put together a portfolio of properties worth in excess of R70M, our current projects and forecasts show us that this business has a potential of building an asset base or portfolio worth more than R500M in the next 5 to 10 years.

Alternative Financing Program

Sunentre owns 20% of The Invoice X-change platform that was founded in 2005. Its vision is to offer growing small and medium-sized businesses an alternative financing method to traditional bank loans and overdrafts. Today it competes with other leaders in factoring and trade finance, but its approach is that of profit sharing, which is unique to other factoring companies, whereupon it seeks to grow small business and become partners with them as they grow. Most importantly is that The Invoice Exchange is an online platform where funders meet small businesses as they buy their invoices to help them finance their deals with state owned companies. Furthermore, the extended services in this space are that of bookkeeping, accounting services and taxation for these small companies to ensure legal compliance as they grow.
